Translationz has developed a Code of Conduct emphasising clarity, equity, and integrity across all operations. This commitment to ethical standards ensures transparency, accountability, and fair treatment, building trust and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for clients, partners, and employees alike.
Gender Equality
In Australia, Equal Pay Day is observed annually around August. The specific date varies each year and represents the additional time women need to work into the new financial year to earn the same average income as men did in the previous year. This observance highlights the ongoing issue of gender pay gap and raises awareness about the need for pay equity across the country.
Translationz is proud to be listed in the WGEA Employer Gender Pay Gaps Snapshot, which compares employer gender pay gaps by industry. Translationz posted a remarkably low gender pay gap of 0.4%, compared to the national average of 22.8%, as reported by the WGEA.
This achievement reflects our commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace. In addition to maintaining a low gender pay gap, we have:
- Fostered a supportive environment with flexible working arrangements allowing employees to Work From Home and within school hours.
- Achieved recognition for our robust workplace policies that support gender equality.
- Established mentorship and sponsorship programs specifically designed to support women's advancement.

Providing Auslan interpreters for the AUSIT Conference
At Translationz, we were proud to serve as the Accessibility Sponsor for the AUSIT Conference in November 2024. As part of our sponsorship, we provided Auslan interpreters for the keynote speeches, promoting inclusivity and ensuring accessibility for those in need while supporting the broader Auslan community.
This was the first year AUSIT included Auslan interpreters at their conference, an initiative we were excited to support. Thanks to this effort, deaf and hard-of-hearing participants were able to attend and engage with the event—an opportunity that might not have been possible otherwise.
We’re delighted to have played a role in making this conference more inclusive and hope it serves as a step toward greater accessibility in future events.
Diverse Workplace
Translationz values diversity and inclusion, proudly employing individuals with disabilities, including a Deaf team member and those with chronic conditions. By fostering a supportive and progressive workplace, we not only enhance motivation and engagement but also create a safe environment for delivering our services.
We are committed to raising awareness of the benefits of employing individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions. By supporting diverse voices and fostering a disability-positive culture, we strive to build stronger, more inclusive workplaces and communities.

Our culture of CARE is a source of immeasurable pride.
Our strategy is geared towards an extensive, complex, and developing set of environmental, social, and ethical concerns. Whether it’s through supporting our local universities and non-for-profit organisations we will continue to help people in need and to make the world a better place for everyone.
We invest in our people and recognise that our employees and linguists are vital components for our success. We look for advancing a secure, flexible, and comprehensive workplace where employees are entrusted to excel in their work.

Translationz is committed to protecting the environment, supporting cultural preservation, and empowering Indigenous communities worldwide. By focusing on caring for our planet, we aim to preserve natural resources, protect biodiversity, and foster sustainable livelihoods, believing that a strong connection to nature is essential for a resilient and interconnected world.
Aboriginal Fisheries
Translationz proudly Sponsors the International Indigenous Fishing Symposium.
We are committed to supporting cultural preservation and the empowerment of Indigenous communities worldwide. We were honoured to sponsor the International Indigenous Fishing Symposium by providing pro bono interpreting equipment to facilitate communication and cooperation. The programme included the Joonga Cultural Tour in Narooma and a visit to Parliament House for a briefing on Indigenous fishing.
We extend our gratitude to all the Indigenous fishing rights communities for their tireless efforts in preserving and advocating for their cultural practices.

One Tree Planted
Translationz makes monthly financial contributions to One Tree Planted, a global reforestation initiative dedicated to making environmental support accessible to everyone. Tree planting is vital for restoring natural habitats, enhancing biodiversity, and combating climate change by capturing carbon dioxide.
It also prevents soil erosion, improves air and water quality, and creates habitats for countless species.
Supporting this movement aligns with our mission to promote sustainability and cultural preservation, as healthy ecosystems benefit communities, support diverse livelihoods, and ensure a resilient environment for future generations.

We actively partner with a variety of universities and non-profit organisations to support communities and address key societal challenges. Through these partnerships, we contribute to initiatives focused on health, human rights, and education, aiming to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
By working together, we’re helping to build stronger, more resilient communities and championing causes that promote equality, accessibility, wellness, and opportunity for all.
Scholarships for Macquarie University
For over six years, Translationz has proudly supported Higher Education Research (HDR) students at Macquarie University through dedicated scholarships. These scholarships have had a profound impact, enabling meaningful initiatives such as study tours to Aotearoa, care packages during the challenging days of COVID, financial stipends to ease university expenses, and letters of encouragement for new students.
Here’s a closer look at some of the impact of these programs:
Supporting Indigenous Language Initiatives in 2025
In 2025, our scholarship funding has contributed to the launch of Indigenous language initiatives at Macquarie University, with active involvement from HDR students. Translationz remains committed to fostering Indigenous knowledge and culture through this meaningful collaboration with the Department of Indigenous Studies.
Celebrating Student Achievements
In 2024, our contributions financially supported four students who graduated with PhDs, along with several others who earned Master’s degrees. These milestones reflect the dedication and talent of the students, and we’re proud to play a part in their journey.
Study Tour to Aotearoa
In November 2022, Professor Bronwyn Carlson led a group of HDR students on an enriching study tour to Aotearoa. Translationz’s sponsorship helped make this experience possible, providing food vouchers for the students and enabling visits to Te Whare o Rongomaurikura Centre for Language Revitalisation. Students gained invaluable insights into language revitalisation efforts and were inspired by the work being done in Aotearoa.
Two of the students on the tour, who were researching Indigenous languages, presented their findings during the visit.
To further support these students, Translationz provided year-end vouchers to help ease their financial burden over the holiday season.
Letters of Encouragement for New Students
Sometimes, a simple message can make a big difference. Our written letters of support for incoming students aim to inspire confidence and provide encouragement on what can feel like an overwhelming first day.
Closing Words
We are inspired by the resilience and achievements of the students we support and look forward to continuing our partnership with Macquarie University. Together, we are walking towards a brighter future.
‘Yanaladyi budyari gumadawa’- ‘Walking together in good spirits’.

Operation Smile
Translationz proudly supported Operation Smile Australia's Mission, an organisation dedicated to transforming lives through essential surgical care.
Operation Smile prepared for an upcoming mission to Morocco, where they provided life-changing surgeries to children in need. To facilitate their entry into Morocco and enable their pivotal work, the team required professional translation services of medical documents.
Recognising the vital work of Operation Smile's mission, Translationz was proud to provide pro-bono translation services for their essential documents. It is truly an honour to support such meaningful work.

Make-a- Wish Foundation
Translationz is delighted to partner with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to sponsor language services for children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
The Make-a-Wish Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to granting wishes for children with critical illnesses. Since 1985, it has fulfilled over 145,000 wishes—ranging from meeting idols to adopting pets, bringing joy, strength, and hope to children facing immense challenges.
Translationz is thrilled to collaborate with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, sharing their belief that every child deserves a granted wish. That’s why we have been providing pro-bono interpreting services to ensure all families, including those from diverse backgrounds, can access this wonderful service and see their wishes come true.
Giving Deaf Children a Voice

Translationz has been working with Shepherd Centre Foundation for a number of years now, providing interpreting services in various languages including Vietnamese, Urdu, Mongolian and more for families with hearing loss and challenging language barriers.
Translationz and Shephard centre work together with a shared goal of easing multicultural challenges and offer ongoing support to the CALD community. Translationz loves supporting organisations that share the same values.
