Client Background: TAFE Queensland is a training provider that provides practical, industry-relevant training across different disciplines. They are the state’s largest training provider for practical, industry-relevant training from certificates to bachelor degrees. TAFE Queensland’s vision is to be the leading provider of vocational training and targeted higher education programs, as they believe it is critical to strengthening the Queensland economy and supporting local communities.
The Project: TAFE Queensland partnered with Translationz to contextualise and translate e-learning modules for Indonesian business professionals.

Documents: NAATI certified, professional translation of 12 documents/modules from English into Bahasa Indonesian.
Challenges: TAFE Queensland required educational modules translated into Bahasa Indonesian to support their educational initiatives for Indonesian business professionals. Certain words, in many languages, lack direct equivalent words making translation challenging.. Our team carefully navigated these complexities to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations. Throughout the process, we maintained clear and open communication with TAFE Queensland, delivering on schedule, facilitating thorough reviews and receiving feedback from all parties involved.
Solutions: At Translationz, our team meticulously handled challenging words, carefully considering the most effective approach to maintain the original message. We adhere to ISO 17100 standards, each text is first translated by a translator and then thoroughly reviewed by a different linquist. The review process ensures that the final translation is clear, culturally appropriate and easily understood by the intended audience.
Our process involved contextualising content for an Indonesian audience, considering language nuances, cultural context, literacy levels and learning objectives. We were completed this process for each module within 2 to 4 days.
Translationz effectively communicated with TAFE Queensland and their client, ensuring all parties could review and provide feedback on the translations. We were attentive to their comments and feedback, making edits and adjustments to the translations to provide the most accurate, concise and natural phrasing.
